I am Jayden Merrick, a current undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I study Computer Science, Data Science, and Biology.
I am very happy to begin a project after the conclusion of the development for my personal website. This new project is data-first and python based, and has real-world application for the suite staff of Campus Visitor and Relations! Using the input of a CSV file, the program will be able to output readable statistics of employee interactions that overcomes the many nuisances of data clean-up. Further details are on my portfolio page.
The name is still very unofficial, as I intent to have a vote for the final name. This club foundation would revolve primarily around projects which relate to computational biology, bioinformatics, and biomedical data science. It gives opportunity to people interested in the field to network, create, and present. The club will have an unofficial start around March 2026, and is planned to become official the following school year. If you are at all interested, please contact me to get involved! Further details will be out shortly
Welcome to my website! I am very excited to have created this small website project to present myself and my projects to anyone interested. As with any long-term project, I intend to continually manage and upgrade this website overtime. If you are interested in the details, check it out in my portfolio!
This project aims to develop a predictive model which intakes raw DNA sequence data to estimate the likelihood of a mutation driving melanoma cancer along noncoding sequences of DNA. The model architecture of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) will be trained under the supervised training method to utilize the robust datasets of noncoding mutated variants seen as melanoma-linked or benign. The impact of such a model could further research for early risk assessment of melanoma cancer.
